Our annual away tournament will be in Fond du Lac, March 19th (Friday) and March 20th (Saturday (tournament day)).

This is a great way for all the wrestlers and parents to get together and have some fun.

Here is a letter/memo from Angie regarding the away tournament with information about lodging:

This years Mount Horeb/Barneveld Youth Wrestling Club out of Town tournament
will be March 20th in Fond Du Lac WI. We have been to this tournament before
and it has been well run and good competition. They have brackets with up to
6 kids in them with State qualifiers going with other state qualifiers when
possible. Non state qualifiers go with non-state qualifiers whenever
possible. This year they are also including HS Competition. This will take
place in the morning prior to the youth tournament beginning. This will be
nice for the wrestling kids in the community to bond.

We will again be staying at the Holiday Inn (great hotel, large pool, hot
tub, sauna and social area with game room) Due to other events going on, we
could only get a block of 15 rooms for $89/night (we paid $93 last time),
this includes 2 adult breakfasts in the restaurant and kids under 12 eat
free. More rooms are available and more should free up, but you should get
your room ASAP if you know you are going. Our block is under Mount Horeb
Barneveld Wrestling. Use that when getting your room. There are weigh-ins on
Friday night and Saturday morning for the youth, Friday night only for HS so
you may want to avoid the long drive up in the morning and get a room for
both nights. Under our block, we have the following:

10 non-smoking rooms with 2 queen beds (4 pool side, 6 standard)

3 non smoking rooms with a King bed with pull out sofa

2 smoking rooms with 2 Queens beds

Tournament is Pre-Registration only. The club will cover the cost for all Mt. Horeb-Barneveld
youth wrestlers. Please fill out and return the form below to Angie. There
are early weigh-ins on Friday night for everyone, K-8 can also weigh-in in
Saturday morning. HS must weigh in Friday night, no weigh-ins on Saturday
for HS. HS starts at 7:30 Saturday morning; youth starts wrestling at 9:30.
The Tournament was over at 3:30 last year. There should be no problem for
any HS kids getting back on Sunday in time for the HS Wrestling banquet.
Saturday night after wrestling, we will all meet in the common area by the
pool. We will order pizzas and relax.

Wrestlers will be given 5 matches with full brackets

Custom wall charts to all Champions.

Weight brackets determined at weigh-ins.

No USA card required

Folkstyle- K-2 wrestle 2- 90 sec periods both neutral (4 man brackets)

All other grades wrestle 3 - 1 minute periods with choice in the 2nd and 3rd
period.

Grades K and 1-2 will be separate divisions where possible

PRE-REGISTRATION: All wrestlers are encouraged to preregister

to receive discounted entry fee and avoid cutoff. Preregistration

ends with a postmark of Friday, March 6th. Wrestlers

need to mail in signed waiver form at bottom and check for $12

made out to the FDL Wrestling Club. Mail to FDL Wrestling

Club, PO Box 1554 , Fond du Lac , WI 54936. Verification of preregistration

may be found by looking up wrestler's name on our

web site, www.fonddulacwrestling.com until March 12. A running

total of pre-registration will be kept on the web site.

Completed last year by 3:30pm
